Harvesting & Maintenance Manager

Marios is the oldest employee at Kimagro. He was with Tony from the very beginning of the Company’s foundation over 20 years ago as an Apprentice. He took on a lot of the daily dives in those days as well as the manual feeding of the cages using a small boat sometimes in the midst of heavy seas, before the stable Feeding Platform came into existence.

Marios is responsible for the harvesting aspect of the Fish Farm. Harvesting delicate fish such as sea bass takes a lot of skill and patience. Marios and his Team daily harvest fresh Levantina Fish, bringing it to shore with the Company’s Catamaran so that the fish is packed quickly before distribution overseas as well as to local businesses. When not harvesting, he also runs all the maintenance work required on the Farm. This included repair and painting of the Catamaran before putting it back in the water ready to resume harvesting trips.

Marios favourite Levantina Fish? He and his family love seafood overall and regularly enjoy both Sea Bass and Sea Bream grilled with Cypriot meze dishes and a Village Salad (Χωριάτικι σαλάτα = choriatiki salada).
